We invite schools around the world to participate in this new network which aims to allow pupils and teachers to share and discuss different aspects of aquaponics in the classroom. For example how is aquaponics being used in teaching STEM and other subjects and what issues and problems have you experienced with your aquaponics system?
We invite teachers in the EU to get in touch with the EU Aquaponics Hub Committee Member from your country. For those of you outside the EU, we can provide additional contacts.
We also want schools to participate in our citizen science projects and we would like you to inform us of any ideas for other projects we could run. In addition we would like you to post photographs and diagrams of your systems as well as photographs of the produce you are growing.
To share your school aquaponics project with us (and the rest of the world!) we have created a Facebook page:
Please feel free to post photos and information about your system but don’t forget to include the following information so we know who is sharing with us:
- School name and website
- Country and city or town
- Age of your students
- A description of your system
- A description of the fish, feed and produce
We look forward to seeing your projects!
