Developing welfare and growth markers for fish and eels in a community run aquaponics set up
This project aims to develop new tools that can be applied to aquaponics set ups for a variety of fish species, which are in use both locally and in developing countries. This project is highly interdisciplinary working with academics at the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE) and with a community based aquaponics company; the Bristol fish project (Bristolfish.org) and would particularly suit a biology graduate with an interest in social and community projects or populations and the environment.
The studentship is fully-funded for 4 years, subject to meeting the academic and residence criteria, and will be commencing in September 2017. The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 27 February 2017. For more information see http://www.swbio.ac.uk/joint-bbsrc-esrc-studentships-available/
