Competition for PhD students and Postdocs

COST Action FA1305 is holding a competition to award funding to two PhD students or Postdocs to attend the 3rd Management Committee meeting at the University of Gran Canaria, Spain,22-24 April 2015, where they will have the opportunity to network with the leading aquaponists in the EU.  Successful applicants will be reimbursed for the cost of their travel, accommodation and subsistence according to COST regulations. They will be expected to give a 15 minute presentation on their research, to take part in the Working Group meetings, and to set up the EU Aquaponics Hub Early Stage Researcher Network.

Who is the competition for?

PhD students and Postdocs (up to 8 years after the award of a PhD) studying or working in one of the following countries:  Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.  The nationality of the applicant is not a bar to eligibility.

How to apply

Applicants should send a CV and a one page letter of motivation outlining what they would hope to gain from attending the meeting, and what they would be able to contribute.  The deadline for applications is 15 March 2015.  Please send your application to the Action Chair, Benz Kotzen (B.Kotzen@greenwich.ac.uk) copied to the Action Project Manager, Sarah Milliken (S.Milliken@greenwich.ac.uk).
